Every wreck needs to be investigated to determine whether someone was acting unreasonably; but in circumstances where a vehicle rolls over, additional investigation is needed to examine all possible causes of injury and harm.
During the lunch hour this past July 22, a La Vernia resident and a Weatherford resident were involved in a wreck, while passing through the intersection of U.S. 87 and C.R. 361, according to the Wilson County News. Before the wreck, the two drivers were en route to collide, so the man from Weatherford, who drove a 2013 Ford F-250 truck, took remedial measures, in order to avoid hitting the La Vernia woman’s sedan. Though the Weatherford man swerved, to avoid hitting the car, an accident still ensued. The sudden swerve lead to the man’s F-250 rolling over and demolishing the rear end of the woman’s car. The two people in the woman’s car and the man driving the truck were all transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries sustained from the accident.
It is unclear what exactly caused the accident. Both drivers’ behavior, condition, and driving need to be evaluated and investigated. But, in this situation, the issue of the roll over needs to be looked at closely. Regarding damages for all three parties involved in the accident, it is important to know whether or not the roll over was caused by a manufacturer’s defect or a design defect. The Ford F-250 truck involved in this wreck is a relatively new product, and it is very possible that the product might have some imperfections.
