According to the National Highway Safety Administration, the Keystone RV Company has recently released a recall on some of its 2013 Bullet and Passport trailers.
The presumed defect in these trailers is in the mounting fasteners for the stabilizing jacks. The mounting system attaches and secures the trailer to the vehicle which is towing it. An estimated 2,336 trailers will be affected by this hazardous defect.
As you can probably imagine, when driving through city traffic or while driving down the open highway, if a trailer suddenly becomes detached from the vehicle that is pulling it, this can cause serious danger to other drivers on the road who are following behind the defective trailer.
